The final events of the Atlantic Sires Stakes regular season will take place on Saturday at Northside Downs.

The North Sydney oval will host both the two-year-old pacing colts and the two-year-old pacing fillies in this last opportunity to earn points for entry into the Atlantic Breeders Crown Weekend of Championships.

Over $17,000 will be on the line as eight fillies battle it out in one ‘A’ division event.

The top two point earners on the filly leader board will be in attendance.  Magical Mistress and Therealdeal are tied with 24 points each and are leaving from post position two and three.

The top eight declared point earners in each division will go in the championship finals on Thanksgiving Weekend at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park., while the next eight go in the consolations.

The two-year-old pacing colts will also have the chance to shine on Saturday in two ‘A’ division events, each with a purse pool of $9,320. Woodmere Bolt, the current point leader, will be on hand to defend his lead.

First race post time on Saturday at Northside Downs is 1 pm.
