Atlantic Sires Stakes Fillies Highlight of Holiday Race Card
The three-year-old Atlantic Sires Stakes pacing fillies were the highlight of the holiday card at Fredericton Raceway on Monday afternoon.
Malabrigo, with driver-trainer Mark Campbell holding the lines, won the first of two $9680 “A” division events in a time of 1:59. The brown pacing filly is owned by Buntainwood Farm of Brackley Beach, PEI. Crossing the finish line second was A As Glory and driver Gilles Barrieau and third was Shes Astronomical and driver Darren Crowe.
The second “A” division event was captured by Seeyouonthebeach and driver Darren Crowe in a time of 2:01.3 for owner Roy Springett of Windsor, NS. Second place honors went to Putyourwhipaway and driver Mark Campbell and third place went to Ruby Vance and Gilles Barrieau.
The first of two “B” division events went to Spank Da Monkey and driver Todd Trites and the second event went to Gords Girl of the Downey Racing Stable.
Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action returns on Sunday when the three-year-old pacing colts travel to Inverness Raceway.
