Atlantic Grand Circuit week continues at Truro Raceway as the Nova Scotia track hosts the Atlantic Sires Stakes (ATSS) for two-year-old pacing colts on Friday evening (July 22).

The first $9,600 divisions, which will go as Race 2 on the program, has Tobins Profit as the morning line favourite in the field from post two for trainer Danny Romo and owners Kevin Dorey and Robert Sumarah of Nova Scotia and Frank Brundle of Ontario. Tobins Profit is looking to remain undefeated after winning his first lifetime start in Truro and the ATSS A division in Summerside last week.

Junes Boy, trained and driven by Paul Langille, is the second choice with Howmac Charger in line with Redmond Doucette rounding out the top three.

The second six-horse A division goes off in Race 5 with Malignity, as the top choice from post five for Paul Langille. Malignity is owned by Debbie Francis and Rosanne Langille.

Rounding out the top three contenders is Meraki (Gilles Barrieau) and Bacononabiscuit (Mark Campbell).

Atlantic Sires Stakes action will continue Saturday, July 23 at Truro Raceway with the three-year-old colts.  Two $9,660 A divisions of seven will go behind the gate in Races 5 and 10.  A lone B division goes behind the gate in Race 2.

Points earned in each Atlantic Sires Stakes A’ division and trot event go towards securing a coveted spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships.
