The best three year old fillies hit the track Saturday at Red Shores Charlottetown to open the Sires Stakes action for the week.
Woodmere Skyroller, in line to Brodie MacPhee won the first $9,500 A division ingate-to-wire fashion with fractions of :28.1, :57.4 and 1:27, with a 28:4 last quarter for a life’s best 1:55.4 second was Red Dirt Star (Gilles Barrieau) and Ms Moyse (Adam Merner) completing the top three.
The second $9,500 A Division went to Watch Me Dance, for driver Jason Hughes who also headed to the top and went on to win in 1:55.4 Bellafornow (Clare MacDonald) and Tobins Choice (Gilles Barrieau) rounded out the top three.
Saulsbrook Ocean (Dale Spence) won the last A Division and did so in a track record time of 1:54.1 Streakazana (Marc Campbell) set first-half fractions of :28.2 and :57 with Saulsbrook Ocean taking the lead at the quarter in 1:25.4. Dustylane Zambucca (Corey MacPherson) was second and Ubettimagoodone (Kenny Arsenault) finishing third.
Roxy Lund, and JJ Gracie won their respective B divisions.
