Position: Executive Director                                      Term: Permanent Part-time

 The Atlantic Standardbred Breeders Association is seeking an Executive Director to manage the Atlantic Sires Stakes program and the ASBA.

The successful candidate will report to a Board of Directors and be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Atlantic Sires Stakes.  The Executive Director will communicate with association members and industry partners, conduct public and media relations, manage a website and administer an annual operating budget.  The Executive Director will also help to develop, implement and evaluate the policies, rules and regulations of the organization while working collaboratively with the Board of Directors and other industry stakeholders, including the Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission and Standardbred Canada.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, capable of working independently from a home based office in either Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island. The candidate should be familiar with the harness racing industry and have strong organizational, communication and management skills.

This position is permanent, part-time and the salary will be based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
