Families Announced For Atlantic Breeders Crown

Charlottetown, PE – Four Atlantic Canadian harness racing families will be recognized for their significant contributions to the industry during the Atlantic Breeders Crown on Thanksgiving weekend.

The Arsenault family, from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, the family of Lloyd Downing of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Allan Jones family from New Brunswick and the Wilson family from Nova Scotia will be honored.

Memorabilia from these four Atlantic Canadian families will be part of the displays in the ‘Memory Lane’ room on the second level of the grandstand at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park during Atlantic Breeders Crown weekend.

The family recognition presentations, sponsored by the province of PEI, will be part of the Atlantic Breeders Crown banquet presented in part by the PEI Standardbred Horse Owners Association on Saturday, October 1oth at the Rodd Royalty. The reception will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the banquet at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 and available at the Red Shores Rewards Desk in Summerside and Charlottetown. Tickets can also be purchased at the Charlottetown Vet Clinic.
