The top point earners in each of the six Atlantic Sires Stakes divisions have now been determined, following the two-year-old pacing filly events at Exhibition Park Raceway in Saint John, NB, on Saturday afternoon. These events were the final Atlantic Sires Stakes races leading up to the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship Weekend.
Top Brand and owner-driver Danny Romo captured the first of two $10,000 ‘A’ division events at EPR. The filly is co-owned by Tom Hawco of Sydney, NS. Coming home second was Kaitlins Kowgirl and driver Jason Hughes and third was Tobins Mygirl and Todd Trites.
The other ‘A’ division event on the afternoon race card went to Carol Alice with Danny Romo in the bike again, for owner Doug ‘Sonny’ Rankin of Sydney, NS. Crossing the finish line second was West River Xtra and Clare MacDonald and third was Ramblinglily and Gilles Barrieau.
The top point earners in each Atlantic Sires Stakes division now have the opportunity to participate in the Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park October 6th and 7th.
