Atlantic Sires Stakes Racing Action Dominates Truro Race Card
Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action dominated the Tuesday evening card of racing at Truro Raceway, with ten of the fifteen dashes being Atlantic Sires Stakes events.
Lil Miss Abbie and driver Mike Stevenson and Perfect Posture and Brian MacPhee took first place honors in the two-year-old trotting events. Meanwhile, Maple Leaf Spirit with driver Ralph Annear holding the lines and Waiting On A Woman and Corey MacPherson captured first place in the three-year-old trot events.
The two-year-old pacing fillies also had the opportunity to shine as Sweetwater Teaha and driver Brodie MacPhee won the first of three “A” division events. J J Maywest and Mike Stevenson and Malabrigo and driver Marc Campbell crossed the finish line first in the remaining two events. There were also three “B” divisions of the two-year-old pacing fillies on the card, making for a full night of racing.
Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action continues on Thursday evening at Truro Raceway when three “A” divisions of the two-year old pacing colts compete for a $7340 purse pool. The racing action will heat up again on Saturday when the three-year-old pacing colts go in three “A” divisions and two “B” divisions.
