Atlantic Sires Stakes harness racing action will be the highlight of several race cards during Lobster Carnival Week activities in Summerside, PEI this week.
Tuesday evening will see both the two and three-year-old trotters take to the Summerside oval. Two divisions of the freshmen trotters will compete for a purse pool of $7300 each, meanwhile the sophomore trotters will also go in two divisions for $7380 each. First race post time on Tuesday will be 7 pm.
On Wednesday evening it will be the two-year-old pacing fillies time to shine as three “A” divisions will each go for a substantial purse of $9540. There will also be three “B” divisions on the Wednesday evening card of racing.
The two-year-old pacing colts will take to the track on Thursday evening as three “A” divisions will each go for $9160. Three “B” divisions will also compete for $2500 each.
Harness racing action will continue on Friday and Saturday when the three-year-old pacing fillies and colts meet for competition.
